Terms of Sale
A $25 fee will be charged to your credit card upon submission of
your order. The remainder of the costs, including shipping and
handling, will be charged to your credit card upon approval
of the final proof. Acceptance of orders is subject to credit approval.
No work will proceed on printing until payment is made. No refunds
are given once your order has been printed.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
All sales are final. No refunds are available for the $25 initial
processing fee. Cancellations are accepted in writing up until we receive
the final approved proof. Cancellations after proof approval will result
in your incurring any charges for labor and materials up to the point
when we received your written notification. If the job is already printed
by this time, you are liable for the full cost.
Turnaround Times
Orders placed after 10 am CST on any business day will begin production
the following business day. This is true for file preflighting, proofs,
corrections and printing. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will
be processed on Monday.
Turnaround time begins with the receipt of your files, either electronically
or on a disc. In the event that production schedules are not adhered
to by the customer, delivery dates will change. We generally preflight
files for new projects and produce a proof within 1-2 business days
of receipt of the order.
If there is a problem with your files or missing
components, we will contact you immediately. We email a PDF proof or
ship the proof via overnight delivery service, whichever you specify.
If corrections are needed and another proof is requested, that will
take place within 1-2 business days after receiving your proof. Once
you approve a final proof, printing will proceed in accordance with
the production schedule agreed upon in your quote.
Although ScottLitho.com follows a strict equipment maintenance program
and rarely misses production schedules, unexpected malfunctions and
technical problems can occasionally delay the printing and pre-press
process. ScottLitho.com will always act to make sure that any production
difficulties do not delay delivery schedules.
In case of delay caused by technical difficulty, rush fees will
be waived or refunded, however technical difficulty will not be grounds
for cancellation. If you cannot use printed material due to missed
deadline, a credit will be issued. Refunds will not be issued, with
the exception of rush fees.
ScottLitho.com is not liable for any delay caused by Federal Express,
UPS, or any other commercial shipping service.
ScottLitho.com’s low-cost pricing is based upon the submission
of print-ready files. ScottLitho.com also offers you the option
of converting your non print-ready files to formats that will

Proofing, Color Matching & Print Quality
ScottLitho.com does not guarantee color matching or ink density
on JPEG or PDF screen proofs. Screen proofs will predict text
accuracy, image proportion and placement, but not color or
density. Because of
differences in equipment, paper, inks, and other conditions
between color proofing and production pressroom operations,
a reasonable variation
in color between color proofs and the completed job is to
be expected. When variation of this kind occurs, it will be considered
acceptable
performance.
Match-print color proof guarantees a reasonable likeness to
the final printed pieces. While a match print will accurately
predict color,
screen pattern and dot placement, a reasonable variation between
the match print and the final printed piece is to be expected.
When variations
of this kind occur, it will be considered acceptable performance.
Only a press proof will represent the final print job with
one hundred per cent accuracy and no variation. You must be present
at ScottLitho.com
during press proof make-ready. Press proofs will be billed
at
the rate of $150.00 per press set up.
Any press time lost or alterations/corrections made because
of the customer’s delay or change of mind will be charged at ScottLitho.com’s
current rate.
You must provide high-resolution images suited to the offset
printing process. ScottLitho.com is not liable for images
printing as bit maps
when this is caused by customers providing low-resolution
images.
Customers must provide all color printing images in CMYK format.
ScottLitho.com is not responsible for any color shift that
occurs in conversions from RGB to CMYK color modes.
Trapping is a design function. We will set trapping if we
design your documents or if you ask us to do so. Otherwise, ScottLitho.com
will assume you have trapped the file correctly. Incorrect
trapping
will not be grounds for a redo or cancellation unless ScottLitho.com
has set trapping.
While ScottLitho.com will respect the gradient density of
each color in a duo-tone, we are not liable for the final appearance
of a duo-tone
unless you order a press proof.
Text smaller than ten points created in Photoshop may print
in a pixelated or bit-mapped manner. In such instances ScottLitho.com
will
not be held liable for bit-mapped text. To avoid this it is
best to use programs such as QuarkXpress or Adobe Illustrator
to create text.
Ordering a match print proof will predict whether bitmap text
is a potential problem.
Full color jobs that contain large solid areas of black ink
should have the black set up as CMYK black. ScottLitho.com
will not be liable
for printing a consistent, solid and rich black if you have
not done so. Scottlitho.com recommends 30C 30M 30Y 100K.
Any re-print request for either defective printing or insufficient
quantity must be submitted in writing and within five business
days of receipt of merchandise.
ScottLitho.com prints every project in keeping with "pleasing
color" standards for the printing industry. ScottLitho.com
makes no guarantee that the color you see on your computer
monitor or
your color printer will approximate your finished piece printed
via the
CMYK process. Wide variation in color spaces, technologies
and calibrations of different monitors and printers may preclude
an exact match.
Prepress Proofs
ScottLitho.com will submit prepress proofs to the customer
for review in accordance with their order - either an electronic
proof or hard
copy proof. Customer corrections are to be returned to us

Proof Required" and signed by the customer. Until the
master set is received, no additional work will be performed
