Brothers Charles and Bill Scott began with a simple goal — to become a first-rate printer for printers. They put their life savings down for a 3000-square-foot building in the Little Five Points neighborhood of Atlanta, investing in a single-color press, a cutter, a folder and camera. Simple equipment was all they needed to start a long-standing tradition of award-winning service that has become the company’s trademark. In 1966, Scott Lithographing was born.
After Charles passed away in 1972, his sons Phil and Howard joined their uncle Bill to help carry on the family business. They’ve been with Scott Lithographing ever since. More happy customers created the need for better equipment and more space. They and their six employees packed up three presses and moved to Avondale Estates, Georgia. In 1980, they added a two-color 26″ Komori, a rarity in Atlanta at the time. By 1986, Scott Lithographing had grown to ten employees with four-color and six-color presses at a new 25,000 square foot facility in Tucker, Georgia. In 2002 the Scotts converted to computer-to-plate, and in 2005 they installed their biggest printer to date, a state-of-the-art 28″x40″ 5 color Komori with aqueous coating.
Scott Today
Scott Lithographing has come a long way since that little workspace in Little Five Points, but we never lose sight of what got us here–the kind of customer service that makes it impossible not to keep coming back.
After four decades, we’re still a printer’s printer. With no sales force, we concentrate solely on business from other printers, brokers and designers. We apply the same craftsmanship and pride as artisans of old. Our committed and experienced staff assures customers quality, personal service, and confidentiality. Quality — you’ll find it in the name and everything printed by Scott Lithographing.
Really, nothing has changed.
